Coastlines Literary Magazine

About Us

Established in 1970, Coastlines is Florida Atlantic University’s annual undergraduate literary magazine. We are dedicated to showcasing works of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, translation, and visual art from our diverse community of writers and artists. Coastlines is proud to offer a space for FAU’s writers to become the next wave of creative voices.

Coastlines is generally open for submissions during the fall semester until November 1 and published in the spring semester. Undergraduate students attending any Florida institution are invited to submit. Submission guidelines, masthead, back issues, history, social media links, and more are available on the Coastlines website.

Visit its website at https://coastlinesfau.wordpress.com.

Undergraduate students seeking to get involved with Coastlines are invited to contact faculty advisor Stephanie Anderson at andersonstep@fau.edu. Please direct other Coastlines questions to coastlines@fau.edu.

We hope that you find something of value in the work and perspective of others; as the lengths, depths and boundaries of human experience are measured and expressed, in part, by perspective. Here you might recognize a space to be familiar, yet different, from your own journey along the shore.

-A.J. Ferguson, Editor-In-Chief, 2009-2010

In 2017, Coastlines transitioned from a graduate to an undergraduate magazine. To view the masthead, current and past issues, links to social media, submission calls, and more, please visit coastlinesfau.wordpress.com .
