Celebrating All MedOwls Alumni

Every MedOwl has a story — and every story matters. This spring, we invite all alumni back to campus for MedOwls Alumni Weekend 2026, a time to celebrate the journeys, milestones, and connections that unite us as one community.

From the inaugural Class of 2015 to the newest members of the Class of 2025, this weekend belongs to every MedOwl. It's about reconnecting with friends, strengthening bonds with the College, and honoring the shared legacy that continues to grow year after year.

Spotlighting Milestone Classes

While Reunion Weekend welcomes all alumni, each year we shine a light on milestone anniversaries:

  • 10-Year Milestone: Class of 2016
  • 5-Year Milestone: Class of 2021

These classes will be specially recognized during the weekend, but the celebration is for everyone — whether you are marking a milestone, reminiscing with old classmates, or simply returning home to reconnect.

Ambassadors

Through the Years: Alumni Voices

Every MedOwl has a story worth sharing. While Champions help lead the milestone celebrations, Ambassadors shine a spotlight on the experiences of alumni across all graduating classes — from the trailblazing Class of 2015 to the newest graduates of 2025.

What is an Ambassador?

Ambassadors are alumni who share a short memory, photo, or testimonial that showcases the MedOwls journey. Their role is simple, but meaningful: adding personal voices that highlight the pride, accomplishments, and lasting connections of our alumni through the years.

What Ambassadors Do

  • Share a favorite memory or story from their time at COM.
  • Provide a throwback photo or record a short video (30–60 seconds).
  • Offer a quote or testimonial about what it means to be a MedOwl today.
  • Be featured in the “Through the Years” spotlight campaign leading up to Reunion Weekend.

Why It Matters

Ambassadors help remind us that Reunion isn’t just about one class or milestone — it’s about celebrating every MedOwl, every year. Their voices create a sense of continuity, connecting the past, present, and future of the College of Medicine.

It’s quick, easy, and meaningful — no meetings, no planning — just sharing your story to inspire others.

Want to be featured? Simply reply to our outreach email, or send us a photo and quote at COMAlumniAffairs@health.fau.edu

Meet the 2026 MedOwls Reunion Champions

Reunion Champions are the heart of MedOwls Alumni Weekend. They are milestone-year alumni who step forward to represent their classes, rally their peers, and help create a warm, welcoming experience for all attendees.

Champions aren’t planners behind the scenes — they are the faces of the celebration. From sharing stories and memories to encouraging classmates to attend, Champions help ensure that Reunion Weekend feels personal, inclusive, and unforgettable.

This year, we are proud to spotlight:

  • Class of 2016 – 10-Year Milestone Champions
  • Class of 2021 – 5-Year Milestone Champions

Each Champion will be featured in the lead-up to Reunion Weekend with a short bio, photo, and a “Why I’m Excited for Reunion Weekend” spotlight — so you can get to know the alumni who are bringing their classes together.

Be on the lookout for their stories as we count down to May 2026.

Step Up as a MedOwls Reunion Champion

Every Reunion Weekend is about celebrating all MedOwls alumni — and Champions make that celebration come alive.

What is a Champion?

Champions are milestone-year alumni (this year, Class of 2016 and Class of 2021) who help bring classmates together, share stories, and serve as welcoming faces throughout the weekend. They aren’t planners behind the scenes — they are the heart of the celebration, rallying their peers and representing their class in a visible way.

What Champions Do:

  • Reach out to classmates to encourage them to attend.
  • Share a short story, memory, or photo for Reunion spotlights.
  • Join 2–3 light touchpoints with the Alumni Office leading up to the weekend.
  • Serve as connectors — helping classmates, students, and faculty feel part of the MedOwls family.

Why It Matters:
Champions are a key part of making Reunion Weekend meaningful. By stepping up, you help ensure your class is celebrated, your classmates feel connected, and the tradition of honoring MedOwls milestones continues year after year.

It's a light commitment — just a few hours before March plus being present as a connector during the weekend — but it makes a big impact.

Become a MedOwls Reunion Champion

Past Alumni Weekends

The tradition of coming home to celebrate our MedOwls community began in  2025  with the inaugural Reunion Weekend honoring the Class of 2015. It was a weekend filled with heartfelt connections, laughter over shared memories, and milestone moments that reminded us how special it is to be part of the MedOwls family.

That first reunion showed us the power of connection: alumni reuniting after years apart, students meeting those who paved the way, and faculty and staff sharing in the pride of how far we’ve come together. The bond of being a MedOwl proved stronger than time and distance.

Now, as we look ahead to  MedOwls Alumni Weekend 2026, we carry forward that tradition — expanding the celebration to include all alumni and spotlighting milestone classes each year.

Take a look back at the memories from 2025 — and get ready to create even more unforgettable moments in 2026.
