Undergraduate Admissions
Transfer Admissions Requirements
Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters
College of Business
Admission to Florida Atlantic University does not guarantee entrance to selective admissions majors in the College of Business.
A GPA of 2.5 or higher is required in the Pre-Business CORE courses . Math Boot Camp will be required for any students that have not successfully completed required math courses.
FAU counts a “course attempt” as any time a student is enrolled in a course (at any institution) and earns either a grade or a “W”. Transfer students who have not successfully completed a pre-business course within two attempts are not eligible to declare a business major at FAU. The College of Business will not permit third attempts for transfer students. Transfer students who have already attempted a pre-business course twice at a previous institution should speak with an advisor for more information.
Upon admission, your status is considered as a preliminary business major (pre-business). Please refer to the College of Business website for their undergraduate admissions policy and a list of business majors.
Pre-business students who have completed the requirements to declare should schedule an appointment with an academic advisor to complete the necessary paperwork.
Non-business majors who are considering a change to business should schedule an appointment with a business advisor to discuss.

Military Credits
Consistent with Florida Board of Governors Regulation 6.013 , Military Veterans and Active Duty, students who are or were members of the United States Armed Forces may earn appropriate academic college credit for college-level training and education acquired in the military. College credit will be granted to students with military training and coursework that is recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE), subject to institution transfer practices and limitations on amount, level, etc., of transfer credit. Military training coursework will be subject to the same treatment as any other transfer credit evaluated, with the utilization of the ACE Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services or determining equivalency and alignment of military coursework with applicable University courses. If the coursework fulfills a general education, major course, and/or degree requirement, consistent with the college/department policy, the credit will be granted for meeting that requirement toward graduation. Applicable course credit may include elective course credit toward the degree.
To apply for such credit, military veterans or active duty service members should submit one of the following forms of documentation and evidence of appropriate test scores on the DSST Examination Program (formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) in college and technical subjects.
