What is the Holmes Scholars® Program?

The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) established Holmes Scholars® Program in 1991 to provide mentorship, peer support, professional development, and rich scholarly experiences to doctoral students of a larger Holmes group pursuing terminal degrees in education. In 2016, Florida Atlantic University’s College of Education was approved to have the AACTE Holmes Scholars® Program to provide an environment of support to doctoral students enrolled in education programs.
